No, really, Prince Alcryst is the worst. Here we have literal royalty with a loving family, two supportive retainers, many talents, and all he ever does is whine and moan about how much he sucks. And his excuse is that people compared him to his brother? Oh boo hoo hoo, cry more, welcome to being the second kid. So a few people were mean to him once, he's seventeen years old. He has enough mental and emotional support that he can get over it and stop whining like a spoiled little bitch.

Some of the other members of the army don't even have parents, or their parents treated them like crap, and they don't whine about it. The little brat needs to check his privilege and go fuck himself. If I were Diamant I'd bitch slap him six ways from Sunday, if I were Morion I'd be ashamed to have him as a son, and if I were Lapis and Citrinne I'd look for work elsewhere.
