I think she just decides that whatever's the most romantic het ship is "canon". That's why she tried to shove me with Elincia before she apparently met Geoffrey in her game.

And it's not like Sumia doesn't have her own share of other suitors. Essie's just as bad about you/Sumia as other people were about Elincia and her crush on me.

...I think people would've liked it if Sumia had more suitors presented in the game, but I'm certain it was a balance issue.

Well, admittedly we did have a little thing going on for a while...but it was REALLY little, we only kissed once and...yeah. Geoffrey's a better match for her. And Lucia, since they both seem pretty crazy about her.

...It's a difficult ride that I don't wish on you. Thankfully, some of her memory has been restored. ...It's mostly the little things, like her favorite tea, or how I hate rhubarb, but for me, it's better than nothing... and it's better for her than remembering her suffering.
